Hello Bitz!!! I've had an exciting journey this month. I was given a schedule to take the computer proficiency examination at Department of Public Works and Highways, Central Office which is located at Manila. I figured I wanted to write something after a very long time of not writing any at all so maybe this could be the right moment to do so. Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading this blog though.

A Day Before the Flight
It was a busy day for me, October 4, 2018, I traveled 44 kilometers from home to the office (Negros Oriental 3rd District Engineer's Office) and another 85 kilometers from the office to observe some road maintenance activities along Dumaguete South Road.

The travel alone was time-and-energy consuming but nonetheless, a worthy task. As I went on thinking of what the examination might be when I get to Manila, I was so worried about it that I got so hyperactive and my adrenaline rushed as the time pass by. It was already four o'clock pm. I got to Dumaguete at exactly 6:30 pm after traveling another round trip from 129 kilometers. Yep, welcome to my life.
My everyday life with DPWH (Department of Public Works and Highways), I get up at 4:00 am, traveling 44 kilometers, when in the office, travel back to another 44 kilometers from the office to Dumaguete, I'd be home at exactly 7:00 pm and still manage to complete my daily task with Bitlanders, coz' I love this site so much. LOL.
Even though I was tired, I still need to buy some things so I did, after which I ate my favorite cheeseburger at Jollibee, to lessen the stress, I think this is known as stress-eating, anyway, time check, it was already 7:30 pm when I finished. I traveled home and arrived at 7:45 pm. Yep, I am very particular with time, alright now, so I started packing my bag in a hassle and checked in online with my Philippine Airlines booking confirmation and had it printed immediately despite my sleepy and tired human body. I wanted to take a peaceful rest because it has been four days of sleep deprivation caused by my work schedule. I don't know if hate my job for taking so much of my time or I love my job for giving me a salary, maybe both. God, I wish I own a better business, something sustaining, something that doesn't eat up so much of my time. I'm just saying.
"When life happens...another LOL."
Then I slept.
Bon Voyage Dumaguete
I slept for only 5 hours, got up and took a cold shower, time check, it was 3 o'clock in the morning, 5:15 am when I got to the airport and took my boarding pass then went on to the pre-departure station and waited for the boarding time, as my sleepiness slowly fade because of the caffeine, I realized, this is it. I'm going now and there's no turning back.

After arriving at the airport, I got into the cab and headed for the Employees Quarters.

Taking the computer proficiency examination for the very first time makes me curious, excited and worried at the same time.
The Examination Day
Woke up at exactly 4:30 in the morning, I couldn't sleep much as I was thinking of the exam. I don't know if I'd pass but I intend to do my best.

As the saying goes,
"Do your best and let God do the rest."
It was already 10:30 in the morning and we're waiting for our names to be called. We were guided into a room with lots of desktop computers to which we were assigned one by one. Before we started, we were told to manage our time properly, that's a hint.

The computer proficiency examination covered fifteen (15) items for objectives and multiple choice which was only equivalent to 20% of the total score. The remaining 80% will be hands-on some computer practice specifically Microsoft excel and word.
Sadly, I did not have enough time to finish or even recheck my answers. We were only given an hour to answer and finish the computer practice.
I feel like a failure :-(
The Flight Back Home
I woke up at 3 o'clock in the morning. I don't feel achieved after the computer proficiency examination. I guess this is it for me after everything I've been through. Gosh.

Anyway, the examination results will be on thirty (30) days from the examination date, some say it would only take a week but it feels worthless to even know because I doubt I would pass. I can always retake though, IMS (Information Management System) staffs informed us before we started the exam, but I guess it depends on the District Offices' decision if they grant me another one.

I plan on updating my resume' when I get back home and finish writing my blogs so I can submit it here.
