Last week I filmed my entire advert in a park in Staffordshire University. Some of my best friends are top Film-students, so I asked them to help me with my vfx project because they know a lot about cinematography, scene lighting and film editing. With this, I was able to make sure my advert was delivered exactly how I wanted it, and they helped me almost match it the my animatic. They also have a much larger range of equipment at their university to make my advert just that bit better. For example, we were able to get a-hold of 3 meters of Camera-Rail tracks. This enabled me to smoothly pan the camera behind the bench to show the ExpoTees logo Rendering out.
I also asked one of my friends at Staffordshire to act in my advert, as this is something he's also great at on his course. We decided to use him because he fit the design/art/media world better than my original candidate. This had a good impact on the footage, and I'm pleased with the result.
I have now edited the footage and it is now ready for tracking, compositing, rotoscoping and film grading.
Below are some pictures of the equipment and the set-up on the day!
