A picture of a small lizard's head poking out from underneath a bun on a meal tray wrapped in cling film in Air India’s flight No AI 111  from Delhi to London on 11th June 2015 went viral on social media. There was severe criticism of the government owned airline. Finally Air India started an investigation which revealed it to be false and baseless. A   statement from the national carrier made it clear that there was no such complaint by any passenger of the flight either on board the flight or at the Air India office in London.
