If the Olympic Team was picked today USA would be sending 4 men and 3 women to the Games.
For the NYAC men the Olympic Team would have 3 athletes ( Travis Stevens, Brad Bolen & Kyle Vashkulat) with a possible sweep of all 4 positions depending on the result of the Delpopolo vs. Eldred fight off which will take place in April or May
For the NYAC women Kayla Harrison would represent the NYAC and is the best medal hope. She would be joined with Marti Malloy (non NYAC) on the Olympic Team, who qualifies directly.
Currently Katie Sell (non NYAC) would qualify as the "Wild Card" for USA. Big results in the upcoming European tour and the Pan American competition could move Junihiro or Nakao to challenge Sell for the spot.
Travis Stevens (ranked 5th in the World) has had to drop out of the European tour with a hamstring injury. He is chomping at the bit to get back into action.
