Having friends that have served for the armed forces that have fought in Afghanistan, I had a special interest in what Film Annex is doing over there and how they are helping the young people have a better education in a modern atmosphere.
Everyday we hear about the car bombings, terrorist plots, corrupt officials, and blue on green shootings but we never hear about the everyday people. The people who have similar ambitions to me and you, the people who thirst for knowledge like us and well just want to go to school like us.
So why can't they have that opportunity?
The whole world knows what happened in 2001 and 2002 and how that effected Afghanistan, but now is the time for a new era to be ushered in.
Topic focusing on subjects such as Afghan business women and how classrooms are getting internet access to talk to teachers just shows how far Afghanistan has come, but there is still work to be done.
I'm proud to be associated with an Organization like Film Annex who are at the forefront of promoting the progression in Afghanistan. Francesco Rulli and his team are really helping promote these areas, and it is amazing what they are doing over there.
It's a shame we only hear about the bad news on main stream news channels, because there is plenty of good progress being made.
Don't forget to check out Film Annex's work in Afghanistan and how your views help the people in Afghanistan.
