Film Annex also announces the launch of DIESEL ONLINE SHORTS COMPETITION, a short film contest created by Diesel and the Miami International Film Festival. *FEATURED FILMMAKER: Richard Burns
Richard Burns is the founder of Deficitaid.com, a political web site tv series focusing on educating the pros and cons of deficit spending. He is also co-founder of Culture Catch a pop culture podcasting channel where he has directed/produced over 80 video podcasts with artist from around the world. Mr. Burns started in the 80’s in computer graphics, then migrated to editing on the industry’s 1st non-linear systems in the 90’s.
His related work includes producing the special effects for the Peabody award winning Huey P. Newton Story directed by Spike Lee. Also, Mr. Burns’ directing the award winning documentary on PBS Wildwood Days.
He is a regular speaker at the Soho Apple Store and Macworld Expo in San Francisco and lives in NYC with wife and two children.
