Metropolis by Rob Carter
‘Metropolis’ is a stop motion video animation chronicling the changes that the city of Charlotte, North Caroline has gone through since 1755. By using aerial still images of the city (both real and fictional), Rob Carter creates a landscape in constant motion and presents the changes the city went through in a seamless, animated way. In his video, Carter portrays the unusually fast architectural and population expansion in Charlotte, which shows no sign of faltering despite the current economic climate.
