FILM ANNEX PRESENTS SNCI WEB TV IN COLLABORATION WITH SCUOLA NAZIONALE CINEMA INDIPENDENTE


New York, April 23, 2009 – Film Annex is pleased to present SNCI WebTV, an online platform dedicated to the short and full-length films produced at the National Independent Film School (Scuola Nazionale Cinema Indipendente) by student filmmakers. www.sncitv.com was made possible in collaboration with the National Independent Film School based in Florence, an institution actively supporting independent cinema for a decade.

With www.sncitv.com, Film Annex gives student filmmakers studying at the SNCI the opportunity to reach millions of viewers while supporting filmmaking outside the traditional studio conventions. The students who share films on SNCI WebTV will also be able to connect with film industry professionals, including producers, distributors, and other filmmakers for future collaborations through Film Annex’s network. Francesco Rulli, the president of Film Annex and a native of Florence, stated “The online presence of SNCI will make this school even more international as the WebTV will open up the doors of a global film community to filmmakers who are currently studying and residing in Italy.”

The National Independent Film School was founded in 1999 by Salvatore Vitiello. The school’s mission is to give to those who “love” cinema the opportunity to create and produce their own short and full-length films.
