Happiness it may seem,
that I ought express in my poem,
a smile in my facade is of joy an emblem,
grinning to the world shouting with laughter is a reality not a dream,
As I prod the almighty cupid,
and try to implore a love so clammy and frigid,
he stumbled upon the long lost bow with an arrow so rigid,
it can easily pierce a heart that is so pale and languid,
Oh Venus to your child is where my devotion rest,
here thee when I say It is my wanton to climb that crest,
where the being that makes my heart beat,
whose beauty always imploring and enticing me with zest,
To love brings forth happiness,
can you hear the language that my heart converses,
it is an essence of joy and affection is what it expresses,
hear it and the hymn of fond and devotion would sooth your senses,
Give me hope and bestow me glee,
my delighted and pleading heart requested thee,
it will be a dismay and sadness if you would disagree,
it will succumb to grief and sorrow and in melancholy it will be.
