If Pakistan will draw this test match they will win the series by 1-0. There was one change from both teams. Daniel Vettori and Muhammad Hafeez were in the playing eleven. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers Muhammad Hafeez and Shan Masood were looking in great touch. They give the good little opening stand for Pakistan. Pakistan first wicket falls on the score of 44. That was Shan Masood who was bowled by Mark Craig. Azhar Ali comes on one down position. He was also in his great batting form. He started to score runs for Pakistan with Muhammad Hafeez. Both these players showed their class in the game of cricket. But at the score of 131 runs Pakistan lose their second wicket. This time Azhar Ali was the player who was going back to the pavilion.
Younis khan who comes on two down position was LBW by Vettori. He scores just five runs. Now captain Misbah-ul-Haq comes to the crease. On the other end Muhammad Hafeez was still solid against New Zealand bowlers. He was scoring runs with good strike rate of nearly 70. Hafeez and Misbah played very well at the end of the day. Misbah was not out on 38 at the end of the da, While Muhammad Hafeez was on not out 173. This day goes totally to the Muhammad Hafeez. He was looking very good in playing all the shots against the New Zealand bowling line. Next day Pakistan will have to keep this pressure on the New Zealand bowlers to set the big total on the board.
