Thomas Duncan, the United States' first Ebola patient, is now in critical condition in a Dallas hospital. It was previously reported that he was in serious condition, but stable. Currently, there are no further details about his condition.
I think if he ends up dying, there will be a massive freakout among the American population. Because it would take away from the sheen that the American medical establishment has in terms of the level of care that is offered. I think the perception with a lot of people is that America has some of the best doctors and treatment available, so for a patient to get treated here and still die, would not look good.
At any rate, hopefully he will survive and recover.
