Can we consider this the first snow of the year? I'm going to say no, because there's really no amount of accumulation. It was just a light dusting over the ground. There's nothing earth shattering and there's most certainly nothing that we should consider to be life changing.

Still the cold weather bombarded many people. The whispers of the Polar Vortex has caused people to flashback badly to the winter of 2013-2014. A winter which has been called the coldest winter since the civil war.

A winter where I half expected to see a polar bear walking down my street. Absurd I know, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Hopefully the snow doesn't escalate too quickly. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. That should be your motto every winter.
