A hanging bridge in Bohol province has been dubbed by a travel website as one of the “most spectacular” footbridges in the world.

Tigbao Hanging Bridge, which hangs 82 feet above Loboc River, has been included in the article titled “13 of the world’s most spectacular footbridges” published in CNN Style on Sunday.

Writer Tamara Hinston noted how the bamboo layer on top of the metal Tigbao Hanging Bridge gave it an “authentic” look.

Other footbridges that made it to the list include Peak Walk by Tissot and Trift Bridge in Switzerland, SkyBridge in Russia, Aiguille du Midi Bridge in France, Taman Negara National Park Bridge in Malaysia, Capilano Suspension Bridge in Canada, Hanging Bridge of Ghasa in Nepal, El Caminito Del Rey in Spain, The Marienbrucke in Germany, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge in Northern Ireland, Kokone “Yume” Grand Suspension Bridge in Japan, and Highline179 in Austria.

Aside from the Tigbao Hanging Bridge, other popular attractions in Bohol include the Chocolate Hills, the Loboc River cruise, the white sand beaches and the centuries-old stone churches.
