Pero Antic, a former NBA player, is suing the New York City Police Department with a federal lawsuit. He was arrested in a melee that happened outside of Chelsea hot-spot 1OAK last year. In Manhattan Federal Court, Antic claims he was calling a car service with a teammate when the cops pushed and shoved him to the ground before handcuffing and arresting him.
Antic was arrested for just standing on the curb and being a witness to unlawful police activities, according to his suit. He was arrested for obstruction and disorderly conduct but these charges were later dismissed.
