Former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam passed away on Monday in Shillong at the age of 83. He breathed his last at 6:40 PM following a massive cardiac arrest while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management in Shillong.  He was rushed to the Bethani Hospital. But despite their best efforts, doctors could not revive his heart-beat and he was declared dead at 6:40 PM. Kalam, who was fond of interacting with students passed away while interacting with them.
