The clitoral orgasm
With more than 8,000 nerve endings in one place, the clitoris is one of the most sensitive parts of a woman’s body. A clitoral orgasm can be reached either through oral stimulation or with fingers. While some women prefer a light touch, others require a much firmer and stronger stimulation. According to Sari Cooper, a certified sex therapist in New York City and a columnist for Psychology Today, “making big circles around the shaft, labia and upper part of the clitoral hood, usually does the trick that can send you over the edge.” Though the clitoral orgasm can be very intense most women describe it as ‘superficial and less deep’ than other types. -
The vaginal orgasm
This orgasm requires penetration and usually takes longer to achieve than the previous one. Rhythmic thrusting with occasional changes in position is the best way to reach a vaginal orgasm. It begins in the vagina and spreads throughout the pelvic area causing intense contractions. Most women describe the feeling as less intense than a clitoral orgasm but more like an explosion of pleasure ‘deep on the inside’. -
The G-spot orgasm
Research shows that only 30 percent of women have been able to regularly experience a G-spot orgasm, making it one of the most contested orgasms. In order to experience it, one must first find their g-spot and this requires some patience. Experts say the g-spot is located 2-3 inches inside the vagina on the frontal wall. The spot feels rougher in texture than the rest of the vaginal walls. When aroused, this part swells up and feels firm. Upon continuous firm and strong stimulation there is a slow and intense build up of pressure in the lower stomach and pelvic area that finally explodes sending waves of intense pleasure throughout the whole body. But then there are scientists who theorise that the g-spot itself is a myth! -
The squirting orgasm
Squirting, also known as female ejaculation is achieved through a continued stimulation of the g-spot (continue even after a g-spot orgasm). This vaginal area is closely connected to the urethra and the intense stimulation will produce a strong desire to pee. However, if one stays with the feeling and continues stimulation it results in a delightful orgasm that causes you to squirt (release ejaculate liquid from your vagina). The lucky ladies, who have experienced it, describe this as a feeling of being out of your body, and experiencing a pleasurable euphoria of emotion and light! You have to be extremely comfortable with your partner to explore this orgasm as it requires a complete surrender and letting go of yourself.
In the end having any kind of orgasm requires you to let go and have fun! It helps if you are comfortable with your partner, which usually makes you more comfortable with yourself. The important thing is to enjoy the process and not get into a race to achieve an orgasm because the best orgasms usually happen when you are enjoying the journey!
