Bronx born Francis Nicholls aka "the godfather of house music," has died in Chicago, according to Bouncer Chronicles. "Frankie Knuckles," who lost a foot to diabetes in 2008, past away unexpectedly Monday at the age of 59.
Nicholls, who reworked the tracks of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson and Toni Braxton, won the first Grammy Award given as a non-classic remix in 1997. He was magnificent involving the transforming of disco music.
He was also credited with laying the sonic ground work for the trance and electronic music popular at ravens.
