Gael Garcia Bernal season at the MK2 Bibliothèque

Aye aye aye, swoon! Ladies (and gents), grab your smelling salts and prepare to be won over by ‘Gael Garcia Bernal’ season at the MK2 Bibliothèque, running from now until July 12th, 2011. Mexican’s finest (and let’s face it, most caliente) actor is presiding over a retrospective of Mexican cinema at the MK2 Bibliothèque, which features films in which he has acted, produced and directed, and a ‘carte blanche’ selection of his favorite examples of Mexican cinema. So you can get a sneak peak at Miss Bala, introduced by Bernal himself who was the producer, and screenings of Deficit, Revolución and Los Invisibles where he went behind the camera for a change. Additionally, there are showings of his most famous and critically acclaimed films such as Amores Perros, Y Tu Mamá También (I think we all know why this one is a personal favorite) and The Science of Sleep. For more details and to book tickets to see Bernal in the flesh (Note: he is surprisingly short but overwhelmingly handsome), see the links below: www.pariscinema.org/fr/programmes-2011/hommages-retrospectives1/garcia-bernal.html www.pariscinema.org/fr/salles/fiche-salle.html?sall_id=22
