GDC 2015: NVIDIA UNVEILS ITS TITAN X GPU

Posted on at

BY SETH G. MACYDuring this morning's Unreal keynote address at the Game Developers Conference, NVIDIA joined the presentation to unveil its Titan X graphics card.

NVIDIA co-founder Jen-Hsun Huang took to the stage with Epic games founder Tim Sweeney during the address to introduce the GPU.

Huang plucked the beast from its packaging and held it up to the crowd, announcing the card's 12 GB framebuffer and 8 billion transistors. He then placed it back into the box, signed his name, and presented the first-ever Titan X card to Sweeney.

"If I launched our next generation GPU two weeks from now," at NVIDIA's own event, "GDC 2015 will be a bust," Huang joked.

Details such as price and availability were not made during the presentation. However, as more information becomes available, you can be certain the news will be here on IGN.
