Golf Gift Ideas for Women
By Steve Silverman
Golf is a great sport for a number of reasons. One is it presents many gift-giving opportunities for friends and loved ones. Instead of wondering what you should buy for the woman in your life, you can center your gift-giving on golf and you can be assured all the gifts will be appreciated and functional. One word of warning: It generally is not a good idea to buy golf clubs for someone else. Most golfers like to hold or swing a club before buying, so unless they have told you directly they want a particular club, it is best to let them buy golf clubs themselves.
Women's golf balls
Every golfer--male or female--needs golf balls on a regular basis. Women's golf balls usually have a more feminine design, but the big difference is on the inside. Women's golf balls are softer, compress faster and will travel the maximum distance when struck properly. Buying harder (men's) golf balls for women will hurt the average woman's ability to get maximum distance.
Women's golf bag
This is a great gift for someone you are close to. You should have a good idea of what her favorite colors are and what her taste is, but a new golf bag is sure to be appreciated. Women's golf bags usually are lighter than men's bags and also will have more compartments for personal belongings.
Women's golf shirts
Clothes for the golfer usually are a welcome present because golfers are happy to put on a new outfit before playing a round.
