Google on Wednesday displayed doodle on its homepage to celebrate the 270th birth anniversary of Alessandro Volta who was the inventor of battery and was a pioneer scientist of his time.  Due to his immense contribution to the electrical science, the unit of electrical potential was named as volt. This renowned Italian physicist died on March 5, 1827.  We convey thanks to Google for paying respect to this great scientist.
