Govt will not rest till complete rehabilitation of flood victims: PM Nawaz

JHANG: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said the second installment of Rs25,000 will be given to flood-affected families from October 20, said a report published on Radio Pakistan.

Addressing the flood-affected people at Jandyana area in Jhang district today, he said the first installment of Rs25,000 was paid to the flood-affected families before Eidul Azha.

The premier said the government will not rest till complete rehabilitation of flood-affected people, adding that all available resources have been accessible for relief activities.

"Damage assessment has been carried out and each and every flood-affected family will be fully compensated without any discrimination," he said.

Nawaz moreover assured that all measures will be adopted to avert flood related damages in future.

He also appreciated the efforts put in by the district administration for the relief of flood-hit people, saying it is unprecedented that the victims have been provided with relief on such a fast-track basis.

On the occasion, Nawaz announced to grant the status of college to a local school in Khewa.
