Today I want to talk about the graduate assessment test taken in Pakistan from the fresh graduates in order to test their skills. This test is vital for achieving the Higher Education Commission Scholarships and it is also essential to qualify this test with a minimum of 50% score in order to get admission in any university for M.S and Mphil.

Apart from the very few benefits of this test there are a lot of discrepancies in this testing system. It comprises of three parts. First part comprises of thirty MCQ’s of English called qualitative test. The second part consists of Quantitative questions mainly comprising of basic mathematical questions. The last part contains analytical questions.

     This test by any means does not evaluate the professional skills of a student. It is merely a mean of earning revenue by the government. This test must be taken in every respective field of study instead of taking a general test for all disciplines.
