Greenpeace is a non-governmental organization, a global environmental organization, which has branches in more than 40 countries with headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1971, initially under the name Do not Make a Wave Committee to halt nuclear testing conducted US government in Amchitka, Alaska. The activists send chartered ship, Phyllis Cormack, renamed Greenpeace, to the nuclear test site. They then adopted the name Greenpeace became the name of the organization

Greenpeace is known to use non-violent direct action, confrontation peacefully in a campaign to stop the actions of environmental destruction such as nuclear testing, whaling massive, deforestation, and so on.

This global organization receives funding through direct contributions from individuals who are expected to reach 2.8 million financial supporters, and also of charity, but did not receive funding from the government or corporations
