Hacker group Anonymous says Kanye West video is a warning: ‘Let him know we are watching his behavior’

The “hacktivist” group known as Anonymous has hit out at Kanye West in a new YouTube video for the alleged exploitation of his wife, his obsession with fashion and his attacks on various other artists.

But West comparing himself to Michelangelo seems to be what bothers the group the most.

“Our brother, Kanye, exploded straight into his career to stardom with his ‘Jesus Walks’ music video series a little over a decade ago and gathered a fan base of Christians to capitalize on them,” the group explained to the Daily News. “As you can see, in all his recent activity, he has disappointed us all and uses negative publicity continuously to stay relevant on the internet and attempts to build a profit with that attention.”

“Frankly, we’re tired of it,” it said.

Although the video comes across as a bit threatening,

Anonymous said it is “not a terrorist group.”

“Terrorists are our counterpart and our enemies. Anonymous is a nonviolent organization of real people who genuinely want to change the world,” it said.

Anonymous told The News that while West is in no physical danger, it is taking a firm stance against his behavior. It hopes to create a “Renaissance era for humanity” later this year by promoting a special line of celebrities that deserve attention.

“Send Mr. West our regards and let him know we are watching his behavior,” the group said.
