Hate Story 2 movie has introduced two new comers Surveen and Jay in Bollywood. With an entirely knowable story line with extremely unreasonable turns and twists, this film is doing great job. On one occasion the police officers find Sonika played by Surveen in a coffin. They rescued her and sent her to the hospital but she ran away. The cops however didn’t report about her missing in media, as the villains could become alert.
When the villain Mandar killed Akshay played by Jay, then Sonika unexpectedly gathered all the skills and courage to take revenge for her love. Sonika gained courage overnight, devoid of any reason or rhyme. This part was very illogical as the actress, who earlier was so weak and never tried to abscond from the wicked politician, suddenly gathered all the courage for challenging him.
The lone saving grace, of this film possibly is its performances. Sushant Singh is having expertise in performing negative character with easiness. No wonder he was awarded as best actor for negative role in Zee Awards and IIFA in the year 2001. He magnificently portrayed his role in this film. Sushant also brought a few of the finest moments inside this film. Surveen also fitted into her role perfectly all through the film. But the other actors are more nauseating than being realistic. The cop, for instance, who was there for help, tried too hard for acting like a threatening cop but failed. The role of Jay in this film is very short which is also unbelievable.
Because of its unreasonable twists and poor story, this film has got average response from the viewers. However, the tracks are good.
