One of the most important lessons I have learned since I began my journey to lead as an advocate is the many forms of criticism that will pain me on a personal level and the attempts to silence my voice through intimidation and different forms of attacks on my personal life. Once this stage passed, the transition to the next phase became naturally liberating as I began to accept the realities of my role, which is separate from my being as an individual, making it easier to progress and mobilize people forward by the means of my pen, and by the weight of my words. I have learned to invite critics and their criticism as a route for my evolution for growth as a being, instead of feeling pain, now I welcome it wholeheartedly for my own learning as an artist it's remarkable how a shift in perspective can conquer the fears that are within our own minds
