Deepika Padukone features in a new video called 'My Choice' which addresses women empowerment.
Women's empowerment is the need of the hour and to speak up for girl power Deepika Padukone and 98 other women from the city of Mumbai have collaborated on a video directed by Homi Adajania. The director who gave us movies like Being Cyrus and Finding Fanny has used this two-and-a-half minute video which is part of Vogue’s initiative to address equality for women in all areas of work and family life.
The #Vogue Empower video, which has all 99 women dressed in black and is shot in black and white, is asking people to change their mindset and not judge women based on the choices they make in life. The background narration by Deepika will give you goosebumps and she even goes on to say in the video, “It is my choice to live life the way I want, to wear clothes I like, to decide how I want my body to be, when I want to get married or if I ever want to walk down the aisle, to decide if I want to be straight or a lesbian. We are incredibly proud and hope the people not just in India but across the globe get that message.
