This is my first Blog writing, Here I wanted to share my experience of Havelock Island where I went in summer vacation of last year 2015. Havelock Island is a picturesque natural paradise with beautiful white sandy beaches, rich coral reefs and lush green forest. It is one of the populated islands in the Andaman group with an area of 113 sq. km. and is located 39 km of north-east of Port Blair.
This island, with beautiful sandy beaches fringed with green canopy of the rain-fed forests beckons everyone to enjoy the frolic and fun at the azure sea.
How to reach there :
When I went there, that time I went by the Boat. For reaching there Govt. ferries run by the Directorate of Shipping Services connect Phoenix Bay jetty, Port Blair to Havelock daily. Private luxury boats Makruzz operated by M/s Mak Logistics, Port Blair & Coastal Cruise operated by M/s Coastal Seaways India Pvt. Ltd., Green Ocean, Bhagya Express ferry tourists to Havelock daily. At havelock auto rickshaws, taxis, buses, motorbikes are available for transport within the island. The STS Department has introduced the services of two AC Deluxe bus at Havelock Island for the benefit of tourist and local public.
BY AIR , The Civil Aviation Dept. of A& N Administration operates regular seaplane & helicopter services from Port Blair airport to Havelock. Hope, every visitors who went Andaman and Nicobar should go there once for get the good exprience.
WHERE TO STAY :
For stying there are Havelock range from high-end resorts to camping sites on the beach. There are lots of resorts at Havelock and the most sought after is the Dolphin Resort, run by Tourism Department. Reservation at Dolphin Resort can be secured from the Tourist Information Centre in the Directorate of Tourism at Port Blair by advance payment.
FUN & PLAY :
In Havelock Island lots of things to do and you can enjoy by yourself such as there beautiful sun set will be available and visitors can go in the deep water with help of tourist guidence.
