Sometimes, the simplest invention can change millions of lives, and that is definitely the case with this one.
That’s the goal of ‘The Shoe That Grows,’ a sandal invented by inventor Kenton Lee that can adjust its size, allowing children in poor countries to grow up without having to go barefoot.
The amazing shoe can grow 5 sizes and last at least 5 years, and are sure to change millions of lives.
According to the company, “There are over 300 million children who do not have shoes. And countless more with shoes that do not fit.”
Children without shoes are prone to injuries and parasites that infect humans through our feet.
The main issue with ordinary donated shoes is that children quickly outgrow them, and have to then depend on more donations which can sometimes take a while.
This genius invention, however, will definitely change that.
