What Did It Feel Like?
It felt amazing. As if anything could happen. My palms got sweaty whenever I saw him, I always stuttered over my words when I talked to him and whenever I walked away I would realize I was holding my breath.
What Happened Next?
We had been flirting for awhile and he didn't know how I felt about him until Homecoming night. My friend told him and I was frightened that he might not feel the same but his reaction was surprising. He asked me to dance and after that we couldn't take our eyes off of each other. I thought about him for the rest of the weekend. About a month or so later I started to notice something different about him. He wouldn't make eye contact with me or make conversation. Then out of the blue one day he was walking down the hall holding another girl's hand. He walked right past me and I felt like that was his way of saying we were through. Every time I see him it's like a knife to my heart, I feel like I did something wrong. I regret having this kind of feeling for him. I just want to get over him.
Lessons Learned
- Don't trust someone who can't tell you how he/she feels.
- Don't let your friends tell the person you like how you feel about them.
