Storage has a big play in industrial life. Almost all of storage activities are in warehouse. Storage has some functions. From its functions, we can choose a suitable warehouse for our industrial activities. 

Two function of storage are holding and consolidation. Holding function has purpose to protect and keep the material, so material can avoid from any damage. The suitable warehouse for this function is name holding warehouse. it also become a home for some material or product (such cheese, wine, liquor) to grow (aging). Another side, it can avoid the manufacture from tax of the product. 

Consolidation function is contributed by distribution warehouse. This warehouse not only as warehouse (storage place), but as point of distribution too. So many manufactures will send their product to a distribution warehouse, then the customer will take that product from a distribution warehouse. It will reduce a transportation cost for customer.
