Elissa Montanti, “The Saint of Staten Island,” appeared on NY1 to present her initiative, the Global Medical Relief Fund. Since 1997, she has helped more than 180 children from all around the world get the medical help after having been injured because of war or natural disaster.
In her book, “I'll stand By You,” she talks about her journey, which is now being made into a movie.
The Global Medical Fund has been raising donations on bitLanders through their Charity page where users can use their earnings to give back and help those children.
