According to a famous linguist O.Jesperson, language is a "set of human habits the purpose of which is to give expressions to your heart  and feelings and especially to impart them to others." Another Linguist , Edward Spir says ,: Language is a purely human and non-instinctive method of communicating ideas, emotions, and desires by these famous definitions we gather that language is a system of communication."

Language is unique to man. every human society possesses language. The development of all human culture has been possible only through the use of language: Before the appearance of a man on earth animals adapted to their environments or they perished Man had the ability to transmit ideas and knowledge through language . With this ability he reversed evolution and began to adapt the environment to his own needs.

We must make a fundamental distinction between language and communication . Only man possesses language . Other animals communicate with one another by means of cries. Many birds utter warming calls at the approach of danger; some animals have mating calls; apes utter different expressive of anger, fear pleasure. But these various means language . Animals cries are not articulate . This means, basically , that they lack structure . Human language has both grammar and syntax Grammar and syntax refers to the part of grammar concerned with the ordering of words , as in a sentence.
