A 20-year-old girl who was holidaying with her family on a Dubai beach was swimming in the sea and her father was watching it from the shore, suddenly the girl started drowning and screamed for help. The life guards immediately came forward and were about to swim to the spot to rescue the girl but the father prevented the life guards from doing so stating that he preferred his daughter being dead than being touched by a strange man. So, the father let his daughter drown and die. Dubai Police later arrested the father, who was subsequently prosecuted by the authorities.
