The word “motion” means “to move”. So, motion means that how human being moves from one place to another with the surrounding. So, first of all we will define the word motion.

               “The motion is the type of kinematics in which any person is moving and changes its position with his surrounding, that a phenomenon is known as the motion and the person which is moving is called the moving person or person in motion.”When a person is sitting in a car and car is moving, then person is in motion with respect to observe. Motion have different types like rotating of a fan, the moving car, the moving boat, a child is running on a road but here we will discussed only three types of motion, which are observed in daily life.

The first type of motion is straight motion.Straight motion is that type of motion, in which when a person is moving in straight way or any other way, its whole particles are move parallel to its direction, then the motion observed is called straight motion.The best example that you will understand that what is straight motion ? is that ! when any person take a thread and tie its one end with stone and other end of thread in your hand. Then, a person start whirled a thread. The stone move is in circle. That motion is called straight motion and it has one center.

The 2nd type of motion is called rotatory motion. The word "rotatory" mean that rotating a things in circle. So, when anything is moving in circle having one fixed point or center, then this phenomena is called rotatory motion. The best example of rotatory motion is the motion of cycle, hands of clock. You will see that how watch pins move ? The watch pins move in circular way and having one center which is not changed. Everybody will observed this type of motion.

The 3rd type of motion is called vibratory motion. Vibratory motion is that type of motion is that type of motion in which things are move back and fourth about its mean position, means that having one fixed point. The best example of vibratory motion is that the motion of simple pendulum. When you tie one end of thread with stone and other end is fixed with a fixed support that is known as pendulum motion. When we disturbed a stone, it will start move backward and forward. This motion is called vibratory motion.
