How to apply foundation

Posted on at

The application of foundation can be very tricky if not we'll understood but here are some tips that would put you on the right track and help you achieve the look you are aiming for.

1.THE RIGHT FOUNDATION

i know some of us maybe confused and ask questions like "which is the right foundation for my skin?.I would answer that, the right foundation is one that matches your skin tone. A foundation which is lighter or darker than your skin tone is not the best. A foundation which is your colour gives you a friendly look,it makes you look natural but if the foundation is lighter or darker you might not get the same effects.

2.MOISTURISE PROPERLY

A moisturized skin makes it easy for the application of your foundation because it is believed that the moisturizer has made the skin soft and ready to receive the foundation. The moisturizer is recommended to those who have dry skin because of the nature of their skin. If the skin is not properly moisturized or dry, this would affect blending and give a harsh look.

3.LITTLE BY LITTLE APPLICATION OF THE FOUNDATION

When the foundation is over applied the results are not usually good. It is advised to apply the foundation in little quantity. The foundation can be applied with the aid of the beauty blender or hand.If the foundation applied is not enough, more can be added in little quantity and the you can build as you go.This would make the foundation easier to blend thus avoiding cakey looks

4.BLENDING PROPERLY

A beauty blender or a foundation brush can be used to blend out the foundation. This is a gradual process and should be done thoroughly. The beauty blender(if in use) should be damp and pressed lightly (not once but continuously)across the skin with foundation . When the foundation is too much blending become a problem because after all the blending you realize that there is no space to blend the foundation to and then a cakey look is realized .

Another tip is slightly blending the foundation to your neck and ensure that they have the same colors
