If you're in love, you're not your usual self, it seems that you do things beyond the normal things you do, it would feel like you're losing yourself. You find yourself daydreaming, to the point that you could always see his/her face in your mind. The mere mention of that person's name would really make your heart leap. You could always feel the butterflies in your stomach when they get near you. You could always hear their voice on your ear. You would really dream to be with that person all the time.
Well, sorry to tell you but love, is not like that - it's not the nature of true love. We call that INFATUATION.
They say,LOVE is a many splendored thing. Well, it's correct, because the one who puts love in our heart is a Splendor, Wonderful, Mighty and Awesome God. And if you know Him, He will show you and guide you in finding your TRUE LOVE.
Make 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 your checklist.
1 Cor. 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
