Big Boys Join the Android One Bandwagon
When Android One launched in India, Google partnered with local brands like Micromax to offer affordable but high quality Android smartphones to the mass market. We initially thought that this program would be limited to just local players and we would only see brands like Cherry Mobile, Starmobile, and MyPhone bring it here to the Philippines. However it looks like even the big global brands want in. HTC, Asus, and Lenovo have all signed up to offer their own Android One smartphones. This is definitely fantastic news since these three brands have a record of churning out awesomely designed devices. Asus, for example, came out with the sales record-breaking Zenfone 5. Imagine a Zenfone 5 with stock Android Lollipop? Droolz.
