Will this 4K TV come to the country?
Unlike in the PH, Huawei has a whole suite of products (not just phones) being sold in China, and one of them, their Honor A55 TV may be heading to the PH according to rumors. The Honor A55 is a 55-inch smart TV with a 4K display sporting an LG made LED backlit IPS panel.
Unlike other hi-end 4K TVs out there, the A55 is powered by OS that isn’t Android. Instead it’s running a Linux fork dubbed Coocaa OS, and is powered by the company’s own quad-core HiSilicon 1.5GHz processor, paired with an ARM Mali-450MP8 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of storage on tap for movies, apps and other things, and the device has wireless connectivity.
While it’s not affordable since it’s projected to be priced at around EUR 1000 which comes out to around Php 56055, remember that the Mate7 was pegged at a higher price (EUR 599, around Php 33834) when it was announced during IFA, and then was priced at just 27,890 when it was released locally. We’re hoping that it’s the same case with the A55.
