The Massachusetts based company just introduced one of this types of humanoid robots. Name of this humanoid robot is Baxter.  This types of humanoid robots are perfect co-worker because of their common sense and rethink abilities.

Baxter is capable to show common sense in the manufacturing environment. It is the world’s first humanoid robot which can show this kind of abilities. According to Rethink, this types of humanoid robots are safe to work with human.

The main task before Rethink Robotics was to build humanoid robots having ability to understand and adapt their environment like human. Robotics already became able to design humanoid robots having super human speed and precision. But giving humanoid robots common sense like human was a difficult task.

This types of humanoid robots by Rethink have six key feature. This features including software programming that will allow this types of humanoid robots called Baxter to be taught like a real person. Another task is to give this types of humanoid robots flexibility to move to different task without giving them retraining. This movement can be done over the course of a day, week or month. Another beneficial thing about this types of humanoid robots is that they can be made ready to use in less than an hour.

This types of robots named Baxter are low in cost. SO midsize and small companies who have never been able to maintain a robots can now afford one. Total price of this rypes of robots are $25,500.

This types of robots will require regular software update. So Rethink Robotics will make a software development kit (SDK) available early next year. This will  allow all kind of programmers, robot enthusiasts, inventors, and others to enrich  Baxter’s features.
