Ingredients
- ½ kilo. pork belly, cut into serving pieces
- 1 cup water
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/3 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp. pepper or 1 tsp. peppercorns
- 1 tsp. oil
- salt to taste
- 3 potatoes, peeled and quartered (optional)
- hard-boiled eggs(cookedl)
Instructions
- Pour the water, vinegar and soy sauce on a big pot. Add the oil and garlic.
- Put the pork belly.and the brown sugar. And bring it to a boil.
- Add salt, peppercorns and bay leaves. (according to your taste)
- Lower the heat and simmer for about an hour or until the pork belly is tender.
- Add the hard boiled eggs. And potatoes. (it takes 15 minutes to cook the potato.)
- Transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot.
