Zubair Hossain Likhon – the 19 year old leg spinner seemed to bring some fresh breeze in the bowling department of Bangladesh as the supply chain of Bangladesh is studded with too many off spinners and Zubair is a best alternative to provide some variations in the bowling.

He grabbed 11 wickets in his debut series last October and now he has been selected in the squad to play against India. The teenage leggie expressed his eagerness to play against the big opponents and exhibit his boldness saying, “Leg spinners are that sort of bowlers whom every batsman find it difficult to play if he can deliver the ball in the right spot.”

Zubair said, “I will try to do my job; I will not watch against whom I would have to deliver.” He informed about his hard work in and out of the field, “I bowled a lot in the net against Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal in the net. The practice sessions was like match situations.”

“Everyone is inspiring me; Shakib bhaiya, Mushfiq bhaiya and all the others in the team. Mushfiq bhaiya always encourages me saying I have lot to give my team in the near future. I also want to serve my country for a long time” – Zubair added.

The young leg spinner could be a big gun for Bangladesh to hunt in the near future.
