I Was Challenged to Cook
I was challenged by Job yesterday to prepare our food and use the available resources we have. We bought vegetables, meat and fish on Monday for one week consumption. On Tuesday was veggie day, Wednesday was meat day, Thursday was fish and veggie day, and Friday was processed food day. Yesterday was my turn in the kitchen. I don't cook as much as he does so I am trying my luck.
I only had vegetables and a small amount of chicken, around ¼ kilogram and 10 pieces of squid balls. I checked the veggies; I had carrots, cabbage, bell pepper and green beans (aka Baguio beans here in the Philippines). I thought of preparing our favorie pancit canton (flour noodles). The ingredients were perfect for this dish.
The dish turned out well, it made sure that the texture is saucy instead of the usual dry texture.
