"I was Used to Falling Head Over Heels in Lust"

Who Was It With?

a friend.

When Did You Realize It was Love?

when we got together on our second 'date'.

What Did It Feel Like?

It felt like a click. It was strange for me as I was used to falling head over heels in lust and this was different. I knew I loved him because I could just talk to him and be myself and he didn't pass judgment or give me a funny look. He was exactly like all the cliches and for the first time the cliches made sense. I think it's love, but can you ever be quite sure?

What Happened Next?

I kinda liked his friend but his friend did nothing. Then I was discussing it with my friend and sent the text 'I think I like *said person*' to *said person*. It went on from there.

I broke up with him the other day and I felt so empty so we're back together. I think you have to step away to realise what you really have to be able to appreciate it.

Lessons Learned

  • fate exists - nothing happens by coincidence
  • love can sometimes be so strong that you don't even notice how deeply in it you really are
  • if you have differences in hobbies that's o-k, you don't wanna date your clone
  • when in doubt, dump, see how YOU react and act on that
