I am an organ donor and my N.Y. State drivers license is marked to notify the right people in case anything happens to me. By no means do I wish for this, but as we all know, s@%t does happen!
My sister was the heart transplant coordinator at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC for 25 years. Through her experiences and the skill of Doctors, Nurses, and support teams I know the incredible life saving value that donors afford others who are literally hours away from dying from their own compromised hearts. So why not help others with things you won't need anymore. It's a no-brainer:)
The following campaign by Duval Guillaume in Belgium for the Re-born To Be Alive campaign has a very entertaining approach to raise awareness of the fact that one person, can potentially save up to 8 lives by becoming an organ donor. The one organ that can't be donated is the brain. And here's why!!!
