On January 14th, 2015, the great and the good from the world of history gathered at the beautiful Old Hall in Lincoln's Inn, London, to discover who would be the worthy winners of the annual Longman-History Today awards.
The winners this year are:

Alban Webb, for London Calling: the BBC World Service and the Cold War (Bloomsbury)
Picture Research award:
Laura Canter, for her work on The Great War and Modern Memory by Paul Fussell (Folio Society).
Digital History award:
Eleanor Parker, for her blog A Clerk of Oxford.
Trustees' Award:
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
