A group of scientists now believe that Earth's highest peak, Mount Everest, has shrunk after the gigantic earthquake that devastated Nepal in April 2015. So, the Survey of India has taken a massive project to "re-measure" the hulking rock. It is reported that the surveyors under the project would work with the government of Nepal, which shares the mountain with China. It is to be mentioned here that the last time the mountain was measured was more than six decades ago, also by the Survey of India. So it is now a matter of time to find whether the Earth's highest peak has really shrunk or not.
