THAW--India eventually has offered foregn secrtary level talks with pakistan.the two major south asian powers pakistan and india that have fought three wars and were on the brink of a nuclear war in 1999.there as remained a cold war like situation following series of irresponsible statments by the indian prime minister and indian army chief.the indian army chief general deepak kapoor said a limited war under a nuclear overhang is still very much a reality at least in the indian sub continent. INDIAS COLD START DOCTRINE.. These remarks only reaffirm indias dangerous and offensive nuclear doctrine india has long been working on the so called cold start strategy and preparing for a limited war against pakistan general kapoors statement confirms the hegemonic thrust of indias nuclear doctrine.. The indian cold start doctrine envisages moving indian forces without any earning or mobolisation inyo unpredictable locations at high speeds against pakistan on the israeli pattern of 1956 and 1967 seeking to defeat pakistan by achieving total surprise at both the strategic and the opertional levels like pearl harbour striving for a decision before the US or china could intervene on pakistans behalf... HOPE AT SHARM EL SHEIKH.... Pakistan is fully capable of safeguarding its national sovereignty and defending its borders.however as a responsible country pakistan desires to promote peace and stability in south asia on the basis of equality and mutual respect.the peace process betweenthe two countries came to a halt after the 26/11 terror strikes in the indian capital mumbai.The heads of state of india and pakistan have met twice.during the talks between india and pakistan premiers manmohan singh and syed yousuf raza gilani at sharm El sheikh in egypt the tow countries came out with a joint statment de linking dialogue with terrorism .this generted hope that the two countries would restart the dialoge process. PAKISTANS SINCERE EFFORTS.. Seeking resumption of composite dialogue pakistan said that india must act responsibly and stop being negative or it too will lose interest in taking the peace process froward.Pakistans foreign minister mahmood qureshi said that india should not harp on the same thing referring to the india stand that it will not composite dialogue unless pakistan takes concrete action against those involved in the mumbai terror attacks.
