WEB DESK: Indian Producer Rakesh Upadhyay wishes to make a film on the life story of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
According to a local daily newspaper, the producer met with Imran Khan at his Bani Gala house to seek permission for the biopic.
The interesting part of these rumours are that neither Khan, Reham nor the director broke this news. But Babar Sheikh, producer of Reham Khan’s upcoming movie Jaanan spoke about the meeting.
Sheikh said Khan has given permission to make the movie as long as it is based only on his personal life.
The incident was earlier misreported. It was thought that Upadhyay wanted to collaborate with Reham for movie. The director however clarified that he wanted to do a solo project on the life of Imran Khan.
“It was nice visiting Pakistan, the people here are wonderful and I was here to seek approval from Imran Khan to make a biopic on him. The idea to make a film on international level is that Imran Khan is a global icon,” he said speaking to a local newspaper.
